Blue Chip in conjunction with Canford School has recently launched a competition to create a logo for Southampton’s City Reach Project, a scheme which has brought together the neighbouring communities of Northam, St Mary’s and Holyrood. Designed by Annie Birchenough of Canford School, the winning logo will be used on all the rebranded material as well as the new City Reach Project website which will be launched this summer.
The competition saw numerous entries from pupils of the school and members of the City Reach Project in Southampton, with the winning entry selected by the City Reach Committee.
Blue Chip has worked alongside the Northam project for 5 years and will continue to support the City Reach Project in its new and wider capacity. In the longer term, Blue Chip will play an active role in revamping the IT systems at The Underground and Northam 521 Projects to support Canford School’s mentoring programme. It will create a facility for regular contact between Canford pupils and members of the Project, in a controlled and safe environment.
The new City Reach logo will form the new identity for a very worthwhile Project, which combines the experience and outlook of both advantaged and disadvantaged young people, for the betterment of all.
