Blue Chip Offers Consultation as Microsoft Announces End of Support for Microsoft XP and Office 2003

25th June 2013

Microsoft End of Support

Following the announcement by Microsoft of the withdrawal of support for Microsoft XP and Office 2003 in April next year, IT specialist Blue Chip is offering local businesses a complimentary ‘End of Support Consultation’ to help advise on what technology is best for their individual business requirements.

While the standard upgrade path to Windows 8 and Office 2013, per client, is the right solution for some organisations, there are other options available. Now might be the time for businesses to explore a desktop virtualisation strategy or they may consider central desktop deployment is the best way to deliver a new operating system. Blue Chip’s free ‘End of Support Consultation’ will help businesses to explore all of the choices. Depending on the route taken, Blue Chip can also guide on the various training options that they might need to consider.

Anthony Green, Sales and Marketing Director at Blue Chip, said: “While April next year may seem a while away, customers are already acting following the announcement. Once support is withdrawn, businesses running Window XP and Office 2003 will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft, leaving them at risk. We are working with organisations to offer the right upgrade solution moving forward.”
